Bobcats Sit in 10th Heading into Final Round

Freshman Natassja Meredith anchored Montana State's golf team today at the GCU Women's Golf Invitational, firing a 77 in the second round of competition. Meredith is tied for 60th overall with a two day score of 165 (88-77). The 'Cats shot a team total 322 today, to bring their two day total to 643.
"We continued to struggle a little bit as a team today with our confidence," head coach Brittany Basye. "I saw improvements in hitting fairways, but continue to see opportunities to better our short games. We need to focus tomorrow on what has worked for us the past couple of days and use those strengths to finish this tournament strong."
Janelle Reali and Kati Greear are tied for 43rd with a 36-hole total of 161. Greear shot an 81 today, while Realli's 18-hole score was 83. Haylee Folkvord and Jaylee Tait shot matching 82's in the second round. Folkvord is sitting in 54th with a 163 point total and Tait is in 59th place (164).
South Dakota State took a share of the lead, shooting a 306 yesterday and a 311 today (617). Portland State's 312 on the day was enough to hold their lead. Wyoming's Gabrielle Gibson is in first place individually with a two day total of 148 (74-74).
Tee times begin at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning for the final round of the tournament.
