Montana State Track and Field will host Montana, Northern Colorado and Weber State on Friday evening in a quad-team dual beginning at 4 p.m. The 'Cats continue to show continued progress each week, with more qualifiers and improved marks.

The men came out on top of Eastern Washington, Montana and Sacramento State, while the women topped Montana and Eastern Washington and tied Sac.

Combined, the two teams have 17 total qualifiers, the sixth most in the conference. The men are ranked 11th in the Mountain Region and the women are holding on to a top spot at 15. Weber State's women are ranked ninth, while their men at 15 and Northern Colorado's women are sitting in 10th.

Kaylee Schmitz remains towards the top of the conference with the second best mark in the 800 (2:12.76) and the fourth best time in the mile (4:55.27). Jessica Chrisp and Danielle Rider are holding strong in the top 10 of the 60m hurdles, with Chrisp ranking fifth (8.83) and Rider in tenth (8.98). Seven of the top ten 60m hurdlers will be competing this evening in Bozeman.

Casey Teska pushed herself back into the top spot in the pole vault, after clearing a bar of 13-01.5 last weekend. Carter Theade joins Teska in the top 10 with a season-best 11-11.75.

Chrisp's 3590 in the pentathlon leads the conference, while Rider remains in the second with a score of 3574.

Mitchell Horning's 21.88 second 200m dash keeps him at fourth in the conference, and his 6.97 time in the 60 bumped him just out of the top ten.

Junior-transfer Diego Leon has the second fastest 3000 (8:07.93) and Matthew Gotta is just behind him with a mark of 8:20.68).

Austin Decker's 15-09.00 pole vault was good enough for a conference qualifier and the seventh best mark in the conference and Alex Lewis also remains in the top 10 of the long jump (23-01.5). Mason Storm join Lewis, ranking eight in the long jump with a best mark of 22-11.00.

Kyle Douglass has the best shot put mark, throwing a distance of 57-09.5 and Zach Sharp ranks third in the weight throw (59.10.25). Calvin Root sits in fourth (59-09.75).

The action will begin today at 4 p.m. with field events, followed by a 5 p.m. track event start.
