Douglass Tabs First Career Athlete of the Week Honor

Sophomore Kyle Douglass claimed the Big Sky Conference field athlete of the week after throwing a career-high distance of 57-09.5 in the shot put. This is the Missoula, Mont. native's first athlete of the week honor.
Douglass won the shot put last Saturday at the Powder River Duals after marking the best throw in the conference. He moved up to number 57 in the country after throwing two feet past his previous best. Last season, Douglass finished tenth in the Big Sky at the indoor championships, where he threw 49-00.75 and placed ninth at the outdoor championships (52-02.75).
The Bobcats return home on Friday, February 5th to host Motnana, Eastern Washington and Weber State.
