Montana State Opens Season at Hobble Creek

Montana State women's golf opens its 2015-16 season Monday at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic in Springville, Utah. The tournament consists of 36-holes on Monday and the final round concluding on Tuesday afternoon for a 54-hole total.
In a field of 16 schools, the Big Sky is well represented with eight conference teams competing in the event, which begins Monday morning. Head Coach Brittany Basye is eager to get out on the course with some fresh faces. "I feel the team is ready to start competing and put up some good numbers. We played well at this tournament last year and I feel confident that they are ready to go."
Basye travels with five-women, including two faces fresh to the collegiate game. Freshmen Natassja Meredith and Clare Dittemore will wear blue and gold for the first time, while three returners, Kati Greear, Jaylee Tait and Janelle Reali will look to guide the 'Cats in the season opener. "We had a good two weeks of practice, with six rounds of qualifying to determine the traveling team. We have a great group this season who are all very talented and capable of contributing to the travel team. I am excited to get back to competition and get our season started off strong."
Montana State's fall season continues at the Cougar Cup in Pullman, Wash., on September 21-22.
