Montana Drops Bobcats in Non-Conference Men's Tennis Match

MSU falls, hosts Weber State Sunday
Tomasz Soltyka and Peter Mimnagh-Fleming won a decisive 7-5 match at No. 1 to win the doubles point and Montana never looked back, cruising to a 6-1 victory over a depleted Montana State team in a non-conference men's tennis match in Missoula on Friday.
Playing without No. 4 singles player Harry James, Andre Napoliatano's 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles gave the Bobcats their only win of the day. Napoliatano's victory got the Bobcat sophomore back on a winning track. His loss to Idaho's Odon Barta in his most recent match snapped a seven match winning streak.
While Napoliatano was the only Bobcat to garner a win, most of the singles matches were tightly contested. Niklas Brandes lost a 7-6, 6-4 decision at No. 2, and freshman Dylan Harvala dropped a 7-6, 7-6 decision at No. 5.
The Bobcats return to action Sunday morning, hosting Weber State at 10 am.
