Dittemore Leads Field at Lady Mustang Intercollegiate

Clare Dittemore leads the field at the Lady Mustang Intercollegiate after shooting a one-under par 71 in the first round of the tournament. The freshman is tied with Hannah Facchini of UC-Riverside.
"We shot a little off of our average, but Clare and Janelle played well," head coach Brittany Basye. "We need to come together tomorrow as a team and gain those lost strokes back. Each one of them can play the course well, it's just believing they can."
Montana State sits in sixth place with a 308 team score, while Santa Clara leads the field with a 298. Only two teams, Santa Clara and Cal Poly, fired scores under 300 for the day.
Janelle Reali shot three over (75) and is currently tied for 12th place. Jaylee Tait is tied for 38th place with a score of 80 and Haylee Folkvord shot an 82 in 43rd. Kati Greear is placed 53rd after shooting a first round score of 84.
"Tomorrow is our last round of the fall and I expect them to all go out and play their best. I want to see some putts dropping and fairways hit. We have some ground to make up to finish out a strong fall season."
Big Sky Conference member Weber State is sitting in seventh place with a team total of 318 and Montana is tied for ninth with a first round total of 321.
The tournament's final round will begin tomorrow morning with a shot gun start at 8 a.m. (PT).
