Bobcat Golfers Travel to Desert for Cowgirl Classic

Quick turnaround offers Bobcats chance to build on strong performance
Montana State looks to build on its showing at Washington State without much turnaround time when the Bobcat women's golf team travels to California for the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Classic Saturday and Sunday.
Montana State joins a 16-team field that Bobcat coach Brittany Basye calls "challenging" on a course considered tough but fair. "It's a good layout with water and some tricky holes," she said, "but there are holes we can birdie. We have a game plan and we will play to that and play to our strengths. We can play well if we play to our strengths and again if we can stay patient."
Basye's squad will line up the same way as it did last week. Janelle Reali leads the way after a top 10 finish in Pullman last weekend, with Kati Greear, Haylee Folkvord, Jaylee Tait and Lauren Hausauer rounding out the lineup. The tournament features 36 holes Saturday and 18 more on Sunday.
