MSU renews rivalry with Southland Conference, facing new foe
Montana State faces the new verse of a familiar song Saturday, when a talented squad from the Southland Conference visits Bobcat Stadium. Central Arkansas may be a first-time Bobcat foe, but the Bears bring a first-rate squad to Bobcat Stadium on Saturday. Known for its purple-and-gray striped field, UCA is even better known for football success. Since moving to Division I in 2006 the Bears have claimed two Southland titles and three nine-win seasons. The team's 2013 season was derailed by injuries, a theme familiar to Bobcat fans, but like MSU four UCA offensive linemen return in 2014. Taylor Reed averages 153.0 yards a game through the air and 47.5 on the ground through two games, with returning all-league receiver Dezmin Lewis standing as a big-play threat.
