Montana State used a 13-0 run in the waning moments of the first half and never looked back; en route to an 87-71 win over Great Falls, Thursday night in Worthington Arena.

Junior Jasmine Hommes posted her second straight 23-point game to guide four Bobcats in double-figure scoring. The Lynden, Washington product connected on 10-18 from the field. Also in double-digits were Jackie Elliott 19, and Peyton Ferris and Lindsay Stockton with ten apiece. Ferris' output was a career-high after sitting out last season due to injury.

Montana State (4-4) held a 41-29 advantage at intermission and built its largest lead at 61-40 with 11:34 remaining, following a layin by Margreet Barhoum.

For the game, MSU shot 44 percent from the field and a season-high 79 percent from the free throw line, converting 15-19 tosses. The Bobcats also won the battle of the boards, out-rebounding the Argos 46-36. Freshman Amy Davis paced MSU under the glass with a career and team-high nine rebounds, while Elliott added seven.

"Jackie and Amy gave us a huge lift and really picked-up our energy," Binford said. "We hit our rebounding goal, but we still have things to work on."

Great Falls, who used the game as in exhibition, was led by Darah Huertas-Vining with 24 points, while Erin Legel added 22. Lindsey Abramson finished with 12 points and a game-high 17 rebounds.

Montana State will host Wyoming on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Worthington Arena.
