Donation supplements equipment, travel
The Montana State Golf Association, the sport's organizing body in the Treasure State, has donated $5,000 to the MSU women's golf program, Bobcat coach Brittany Basye announced Tuesday.
"This is a very generous donation by the MSGA," Basye said, "and it helps our program in some very important areas. We're able to supply and update equipment for our student-athletes, and it also assists us in helping players compete in tournaments when they otherwise might not have been able to travel."
Basye indicated that the MSGA annual donation, which it has made for many years, provides services such as re-gripping clubs and club fittings for individuals to help Bobcat players stay competitive. It also aids in practice privileges during summer months when Bobcat golf student-athletes are enrolled in classes.
"We appreciate this donation so much," Basye said, "and we thank them for supporting Bobcat golf!"
