Bobcat signal caller posts another historic outing
At least not as an opposing football player. The Bobcat sophomore quarterback, whose father Tim played at UC Davis, led MSU to a 77-37 win over his dad's alma mater Saturday by compiling 509 yards of total offense. That stands as the third-best mark in MSU history, and including last week's contest at Sacramento State Prukop rolled up 997 total yards over the two-week span.
A closer look at MSU's big win on Saturday...

BOBCAT NOTES
• After film review on Sunday Alex Singleton was credited with the blocked extra point (previously awarded to the team as a unit) mid-way through the third quarter Saturday night. That gives Singleton two blocked kicks this year to go with his two last year. He and Brad Daly now stand as the only Bobcats in recorded history to block two kicks in two different seasons.
• The statistical fallout from Saturday's game is significant. On a team level, MSU's 737 total yards was a school record, the 77 points was second-most in school history and the most against a Division I and Big Sky opponent, the 114 combined points is third-most in school history, and the 34 first downs was the most since getting 36 against North Dakota last year and the fourth-most in school history.
• Rob Ash's teams are now 20-0 when his defense scores after Deonte Flowers' pick-six at UC Davis
• Dakota Prukop's 509 yards of total offense Saturday was third-most in MSU history, and after seven starts he has two of the four greatest total offense games in school history.
• Dakota Prukop rushed for 148 yards on Saturday, becoming the first Bobcat quarterback ever to gain 100 yards or more on the ground in a game more than twice.
• Shawn Johnson's 256 all-purpose yards Saturday would have been tied for eighth-best before the season started, but after his and Gunnar Brekke's explosive days the last two week's it sneaks in as tied for 10th with Ryan Johnson's big game against Weber State in 2001. The senior from Bakersfield's 1,025 all-purpose yards this season is 425 from joining the single-season top 10 list, and he now has 3,938 career all-purpose yards, 241 from matching Johnson's school record.
• Montana State's 77-point explosion Saturday moved the team into second in the FCS in scoring on the season at 46.6 points per game, which trails only Eastern Washington (48.0). If the Bobcats averaged 15 points a game over the remainder of the regular season, it would still eclipse the school's scoring records of 435 points in a season and 35.8 points per game.
• Montana State completes 70.2% of its passes on the season, the best mark in the Big Sky and third-best in the FCS.
• Dakota Prukop has rushed for 11 touchdowns in 2014, the most by an individual in the Big Sky and more than nine of the league's teams have accounted for as a unit this season. In fact, Anthony Knight's seven rushing touchdowns, second on the Bobcat team, is more or equal to the totals of five league squads.
• Montana State is second nationally in team pass efficiency, behind only Villanova, and Bobcat sophomore Dakota Prukop is second individually in that category behind VU's John Robertson.
• MSU boasts two of the league's top 10 in all-purpose yards – Shawn Johnson (1st, 170.8) and Gunnar Brekke (7th, 108.0).
