Montana State (2014) Declared academically ineligible by the NCAA and MSU after the spring semester, but was reinstated by each entity in August… will serve a four-game suspension at the beginning of the season before returning to the active roster. (2013) Started all 12 games… second on the team with 73 tackles, including one for a loss… on pass breakup… recovered three fumbles, one each against North Dakota, NAU and Weber State… also forced a Weber State fumble… injured during the spring. (2012) Montana State’s leader in special teams tackles with nine… a kick teams standout who excelled at linebacker when called upon… named MSU’s Jon Montoya Most Improved Defensive Player Award winner in the spring. (2011) Enjoyed several outstanding moments as a redshirt freshman, including a four-tackle, half-TFL effort against Idaho State and a three-tackle game against Weber State… credited for a safety after forcing an intentional grounding call in the end zone against Minot State… played in 11 games, filling an important special teams role. (2010) Redshirted at MSU.
High School Earned first team all-district honors at Clearview High… named his team’s MVP… grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, before his family moved to Texas… a standout prep wrestler with a 45-1 senior record and Team MVP selection.
Academics A civil engineering major program.
Personal Born Michael Alexander Foster on Jan. 6, 1992 in Iowa City, Iowa… one of three children of Melvin and Stacy Foster… his father played football at Iowa… served as a ball boy for Drake during Rob Ash’s tenure there before his family moved to the Houston area.
