Bobcats Fall at Idaho State Saturday Night

Bengals use cold MSU spell late in first half to grab momentum, win
Idaho State closed the first half on an 18-5 run and never looked back, beating Montana State 69-64 in Pocatello on Saturday.
The Bengals' scoring run at the end of the half was decisive, as ISU wiped out a nine-point Bobcat lead and took a 27-23 advantage into halftime. The Bobcats were 1-for-14 from the floor and 2-for-4 from the line with four turnovers in the final eight-and-a-half minutes of the first half.
Marcus Colbert scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Bobcats, hitting five three-pointers and matching his career high with six rebounds. Calen Coleman scored 13 points and Flavien Davis 10 to join Colbert in double-digits. Davis and Paul Egwuonwu each grabbed nine rebounds.
Idaho State's largest statistical advantage came at the free throw line, where the Bengals shot 26-for-35 while limiting MSU to 10-for-18. The Bobcats had shot 39 free throws more than its opponents in conference contests entering Saturday's game – in fact, MSU had made only 11 fewer free throws in conference games than its opponents had shot.
Chris Hansen scored 28 points for Idaho State to lead all scorers, while Andre Hatchett added 20. Hansen found his way to the free throw line 16 times, hitting 12 of them.
The loss dropped Montana State to 4-4 in Big Sky play, 9-10 overall, while the Bengals raised their record to 6-10 overall, 4-4 in conference play.
