Bobcats Sit in Tenth after Two Rounds

Crawford’s 71 paces MSU
Paige Crawford fired a second round 71 on Tuesday, a season best, to lead Montana State at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic at the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Ariz. (Round Two Results)
Crawford's round two score moved her into the top 10, as she sits in seventh place with one round remaining. Molly Dorans shot a 78 to drop her to a tie for 16th with a score of 155 (77-78) after the first two rounds. Kelly O'Brien improved three shots after Monday's first round. She carded a 79 put her in a tie for 40th with 161 (82-79). Pamela Calderon Rojas and Kati Greear had the same score yesterday carding a first round 86. Today, they each shot an 85 and are tied at 88th with 171.
Boise State remains the team leader with 608 and have an eleven shot lead over Portland State, with Xavier in third with a team score of 621. MSU moved up one spot to tenth with one round left to play on Wednesday. The Bobcats have a total team score of 639 (326-313).
Haley Young of Boise State is the top scorer after two rounds with a 142 (71-71). Portland State's Britney Yada (148) is six shots behind for second and Aram Choi (150) is eight shots off for third.
“Paige had a great round and was able to get some birdies to drop as Molly and Kelly were also able to hold tight with their scores. It would be nice to have our four or five to drop a few strokes as well. We all are looking forward to teeing off tomorrow,” said head coach Brittany Basye.
The third and final round tees off tomorrow morning at 6:30 a.m. MT with live scoring available on www.golfstat.com. Final results will be posted on msubobcats.com after the conclusion of tournament play.
