Dorans Tied for Fourth at Cowgirl Classic

MSU 11th after round one
With windy conditions during the first round of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, Molly Dorans shot a first round score of 77 to sit in a tie for fourth place. As a team, MSU's score of 326 puts the Bobcats in 11th with two rounds of tournament play remaining. (Round One Results)
The overall leader after the first day of the tournament is Haley Young of Boise State after carding 71. Camino Sardinero of UTEP and Kaitlen Parsons of Northern Arizona each shot 75 to tie for second. Boise State leads the field with a score of 307 and is followed by Northern Arizona at 314 and Texas-El Paso at 318.
Paige Crawford shot an 81 to tie for 33rd as Kelly O'Brien hit an 82 to sit tied for 4stt, while Pamela Calderon Rojas and Kati Greear are tied for 72nd at 86.
“The wind was outrageous today but Molly's score of 77 was very good considering the conditions we had to deal with. Paige and Kelly held strong with their scores as well. We need to hold our ground for tomorrow and Wednesday,” said head coach Brittany Basye.
The second round of competition continues tomorrow with tee times beginning at 6:30 a.m. MT. Live scoring will be available at www.golfstat.com.
