Idaho State connected on a three-pointer 14-seconds into the game and never looked back in a 65-46 victory over Montana State, Thursday night in Worthington Arena.

The Bengals shot 52 percent from the field and converted 7-of-9 from beyond the arc, en route to a 38-26 advantage at intermission.

Montana State (14-10, 8-7), which shot 26 percent for the game, connected on just four baskets in the second stanza. The Bobcats held Idaho State (14-9, 9-5) in check in the final twenty minutes as the Bengals shot 29 percent from the floor, but could never close the gap into single digits.

“We didn't establish a tempo from the start,” said MSU head coach Tricia Binford. “We need to stop overthinking things and focus on what we do best. Sometimes you get caught up with so many different things you fail to get the job done.”

Sophomore Kalli Durham led MSU with nine points, while Rachel Semansky added seven points and seven rebounds. The Bobcats lone highlight came under the glass as MSU out-rebounded ISU 43-36.

Idaho State had four players in double-figures paced by Lindsey Reed with a team-high 13 points and six rebounds.

Montana State will host Weber State on Saturday at 2 p.m., in Shroyer Gym.
