Crawford leads Bobcats with two-over-par finish
Montana State Women's Golf dropped a spot to seventh place after shooting 313 inthe second round of play at the Big Sky Tournament on Monday at Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Ariz. MSU's two-combined score now sits at 624. (Day Two Results)
Sacramento State took over the lead after day two with 587 (296-291). Northern Colorado was at the top of the leaderboard after the opening 18 holes.
Lexie Hall of Sacramento State jumped four places and was the medalist in day-two action with 141 (72-69).
Paige Crawford is MSU's leader after day two, finishing in 15th place, after carding a 74 in her second round, dropping four strokes from day one's score of 78. Crawford was in 22nd on Sunday.
Molly Dorans fell four spots to 17th with a two-day total of 153 (75-78). Leslie McGetrick carded a 79 for 159 total (80-79) and 31st place. Kelly O'Brien and Katie Michunovich are both in 34th with 161 (79-82).
“This was a good round for Paige and Molly, and Leslie worked hard to hold on,” said head coach Brittany Basye. “We need get out on the final day and really push forward. We, hands down, need to get more aggressive and fire at the pins.”
Montana State will close out the 2012 Big Sky Championships on Tuesday, when they begin the final round of play at Ocotillo, a 6,162-yard, par-72 course.
