Big Sky Conference Announces Winter All-Academic Teams

Montana State leads the conference in the winter sports All-Academic race
The Big Sky Conference has announced the members of the 2011-12 Winter All-Academic teams for women's basketball, men's basketball and men's and women's indoor track and field. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: participated in at least half of the team's com petitions; achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution (Complete Big Sky Conference Release)
An impressive 44 Bobcats earned the honors for their efforts during basketball and indoor track and field seasons. Eight members of Women's Basketball, 20 Women's Track and Field athletes, 15 Men's Track and Field athletes and one Men's Basketball player garnered the recognition for their efforts outside Worthington Arena.
Montana State's 44 student-athletes was the highest in the league for Winter Sports All-Academic. Idaho State was in second with 41, followed by Eastern Washington with 40 students.
Women's Basketball
