Bobcat Women Host Minot State on Sunday

The Montana State women’s basketball squad will have its final tune-up prior to the start of the regular-season when it hosts Minot State in exhibition action, Sunday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. in Worthington Arena.

“We have a lot of different areas that need work,” Binford said. “Communication in transition defense will be a key. We need to improve our spacing in transition offense and we need improvement in our help rotations, as well.”
Montana State is coming off an 83-50 win over Montana Tech in its first exhibition game on Monday night. Two-time All-Big Sky Conference pick Rachel Semansky led the Bobcats with 16 points and seven rebounds. Also in double-figures against the Orediggers were Jasmine Hommes 13, Ashley Brumwell 11, and Kalli Durham 10.
“Obviously, we're still putting all the pieces together and get the newcomers settled in to what we want to do,” Binford said. “It's also exciting to watch the improvement from one game to the next.”
Minot State, who plays in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, was picked to finish 15th in the NCAA Division II league.
