Tough Start for Bobcats

The Montana State Women's Golf team finished the first day of competition at The Rose City Collegiate in 13th place. (Individual Results | Team Results).
The Bobcats have a combined score of 642 (+66) posting rounds of 324 and 318 during the first and second rounds, respectively. Seattle University holds the top spot after the first two rounds at 594 (+18).
Kati Greear leads all Bobcats as she carded a 159 (78-81) and sits in a tie for 40th place. The overall individual leader after day one is Claire Sorenson from Seattle University, at 143 (71-72).
Following close behind Greear, is Kelly O'Brien who is in a tie for 43rd with a score of 160 (83-77). In a tie for 48th is Molly Dorans, after carding a 161 (82-79). Rounding out the Bobcats is Paige Crawford with 162 (81-81) and freshmen Haylee Folkvord with a 172 (90-82).
“Tomorrow is a new day, this course caters to great short games so we just need to come ready and play smart,” said head coach Brittany Basye.
Montana State will tee off for the final round tomorrow, Oct. 2.
