Montana State forward Rachel Semansky has been named Madness Big Sky Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her exceptional performance during the past week.
College Sports Madness identifies the highest impact players nationally and from each conference.
Semansky had a solid weekend as the Bobcats swept its road trip to Sacramento State and Northern Colorado. For the weekend, she averaged 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game, while shooting 47 percent from the field and 90 percent (9-10) from the line.
In its battle against Northern Colorado for second place in the league standings, Semansky played an instrumental role scoring 10 second half points, while hauling down five of her six rebounds. At Sacramento State on Thursday, she posted her fifth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds against the Hornets.
MSU will host Portland State on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 7:05 p.m., in Worthington Arena.
