MSU caps weekend with road victory
The road trip was long but ended with success, as Montana State capped a three-day weekend in Oregon with a 6-1 conference win over Portland State on Sunday.
After a loss at no. one singles, Alberto Fuentes began the onslaught of five straight singles wins with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 win at no. two singles to help pace the win. Prithiv Sivasubramaniam and Lander Jewett each won singles matches at PSU, combined to help MSU win the doubles point with a victory at no. three doubles, and finished 2-1 in doubles matches on the weekend.
Diego Campos and Kenny Dodd each also won singles matches at Portland State.
Montana State's road trip began with 7-0 losses at Oregon on Friday, and at the University of Portland on Saturday. MSU's only win in its first two matches was the Sivasubramaniam/Jewett victory at no. three doubles.
