Bobcat Game Notes vs. Idaho State
3/2/2011 6:04:41 PM | Men's Basketball
MSU faces Idaho State in its final home game of 2010-11 on Wednesday
When all's said and done, Montana State's regular season finale against Idaho State on Wednesday decides only the Bobcats' seeding in the Big Sky Tournament, not whether the team's season lives on. That comes after Northern Colorado's hard-fought 77-74 win over Idaho State in Pocatello on Monday, which clinched a tourney spot for the Bobcats. A Montana State win on Wednesday, or an Eastern Washington loss at Weber State, would give MSU the tourney's fifth seed and a trip to Flagstaff, Ariz., to face NAU in a first round matchup. A loss, coupled with an EWU win, pushes MSU into the sixth spot. While NAU is guaranteed the fourth seed and MSU and Eastern battle for fifth and sixth, the possibilities at the top remain nearly endless between Northern Colorado (who clinches the title with a win Wednesday), Montana, and Weber State.
