Bobcat Women Head to Colorado for Thanksgiving

The Montana State women's basketball team will play at the University of Colorado Thanksgiving Classic this weekend. The Bobcat will open against Wisconsin on Friday night.

A ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOMECOMING:
The Montana State women's basketball team will spend Thanksgiving weekend at the University of Colorado-Omni Hotels Classic in Boulder, Nov. 25-26. The Bobcats will face Wisconsin in the opening round at 5 p.m., and will play either CU or Valparaiso on Nov. 26 at 5 (consolation) or 7 p.m. (championship). MSU head coach Tricia Binford (Carbondale) and senior Katie Bussey (Alamosa) both claim Colorado as their home state.

All Montana State women's basketball games - exhibition through postseason - will be carried live on KZMY My 103.5 FM. Tyler Wiltgen will enter his fifth year calling the action. Wiltgen's pregame show begins 20-minutes prior to tip off.

Rachel Semansky recorded a career-high 30 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as the Bobcats cruised to a 99-50 win over the College of Idaho last Sunday. The native of Highwood connected on 12-of-17 from the field. In addition, she added four steals and a block. In all, four Bobcats hit double-figures. Also contributing were Kalli Durham 19, Katie Bussey 17 and Ashley Albert 16. Durham led the Bobcats from beyond the three-point arc connecting on four treys. Jackie Elliott finished with nine points and nine rebounds, while Ausha Cole posted a career-high 11 assists. On Thursday night in Shroyer Gym, Bussey poured in a game-high 25 points to lead the Bobcats to an 83-50 win over Montana Western. Due to the Dierks Bentley concert in Worthington Arena, the MSU-UMW game was moved to the smaller Shroyer Gym. In addition, Semansky found the rims to her liking notching 20 points, while pulling down eight rebounds. Elliott and Durham notched 14 and 13 points, respectively.
