Bobcat Women Open Hoop Season at Portland

The Montana State women’s basketball team will open its regular-season in the Beaver State this weekend. The Bobcats will face the University of Portland, Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. (MST) in the Chiles Center.

LET'S GET IT STARTED:
The Montana State women's basketball team will open its regular-season in the Beaver State this weekend. The Bobcats will face the University of Portland, Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. (MST) in the Chiles Center. MSU will conclude the weekend at Pac-12 foe Oregon State in Corvallis on Sunday at 3 p.m., in Gill Coliseum.

All Montana State women's basketball games - exhibition through postseason - will be carried live on KZMY My 103.5 FM. Tyler Wiltgen will enter his fifth year calling the action. Wiltgen's pregame show begins 20-minutes prior to tip off.

CAT CHAT:
The Bobcats completed their exhibition season with a 78-48 win over Carroll College last Friday. Senior Katie Bussey paced Montana State with 27 points, while Latisha Adams added 13 points and ten rebounds. Also in double-figures for the Bobcats was 6-4 center Chelsea Banis, who finished with ten points and four rebounds.
PILOTS AND BEAVERS:
Portland is under the direction of Jim Sollars, who is in his 26th year with the Pilots. Last winter, UP recorded a 16-15 overall mark and finished 4th in the West Coast Conference with a 6-8 slate. Portland returns three starters, including 6-foot senior and leading scorer Natalie Day. Oregon State is under the leadership of 2nd year head coach Scott Rueck. Rueck led OSU to a 9-21 overall mark and a 10th place Pac-10 finish at 2-16. The Beavers return four starters, including Sage Indendi from Livingston, Mont.
