Crawford two strokes off first place after opening 18
After the first round of 18 hole, at the Lady Paladin Invitational, Montana State Women's Golf currently sits in 13th place of 15 programs. The Bobcats carded a 329 (77-78-87-87-91) at Furman Golf Club in Greenville, S.C., a 6,160 yard, Par-72 course. (Day One Results)
East Tennessee State sits at the top of the leaderboard at 308 (75-77-77-79-84). Match host, Furman is in seventh place with 320.
The day one individual leader belongs to East Tennessee's Sian Evans who finished the day three above par (75).
Montana State's Paige Crawford leads the Bobcats after the opening round at five-over, carding a 77, which ties her for third place overall. Leslie McGetrick, just one stroke off from third, carded a 78 and is tied for 17th.
“Now that we have the first round out of the way, we'll really work on fine tuning some things tomorrow,” said head coach Brittany Basye. “We'll return with a lot more confidence and team effort tomorrow to finish strong.”
For the second round of play at the Lady Paladin Invite, MSU will tee off at 9:00 a.m.
