MSU makes the cross-country trek to South Carolina for the Lady Paladin Invite
The Montana State Women's Golf team will close out the 2011 fall slate at the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman. The three-day match, beginning Friday, Oct. 28, will take place at the Furman Golf Club in Greenville, S.C., a par-72 6,160 yard course. Golfers will play one round of 18 holes each day.
MSU and Furman will be joining Appalachian State (N.C.), Augusta State (Ga.), Elon (N.C.), Eastern Tennessee State, High Point (N.C.), Kennesaw State (Ga.), Longwood (Va.), Nova (Fla.), Samford (Ala.), South Florida, Winthrop (S.C.) and Wofford (S.C.) at the Lady Paladin Invitational.
Paige Crawford comes into the match as the top player for the Bobcats, with the highest finishes in three of their four competitions thus far. Leslie McGetrick and Kelly O'Brien will also compete at the Lady Paladin, coming off a tie for the individual title at the Bengal Classic on Oct. 15. Molly Dorans and Melissa Hulstrand round out the roster for the weekend.
“Much like this entire fall, our focus is continual improvement,” said head coach Brittany Basye. “We've spent a lot of time working on our confidence and course management and I think we have the potential to do extremely well in Greenville to cap off the fall season.”
Tee time is set for 9:00 a.m. all three days and live scoring will be available on Golf Stat.
