The Bobcats look to open its season Oct. 29 with an exhibition game against the University of Mary in Worthington Arena.
“We have the bulk of our man concepts in,” said MSU seventh-year head coach Tricia Binford. “We'll keep drilling it in, but we have become much crisper as a unit.”
MSU's lone senior Katie Bussey will guide the Bobcats this winter, after earning All Big Sky honors last season chipping in 14.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. Junior Rachel Semansky also returns to Montana State's starting line up. Semansky, a native of Highwood, was a first-team all-league pick last year after averaging 12.4 points and 8.2 boards per game.
“Overall, our energy is very good,” Binford said. “We've thrown a lot of stuff at our underclassmen and they're picking it up quickly.
“I would like them to be able to play on reads rather than instinct in the first game.”
The Bobcats will host its annual Blue-Gold scrimmage on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 4 p.m. in Worthington Arena.
