
Bussey Named Big Sky Player of the Week

Bobcat junior katie Bussey was named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week after leading MSU to a sweep of Sacrametno State and Northern Colorado last weekend.
Montana State's Katie Bussey has been named the Big Sky Player of the Week for games played the week of January 3 - 9. This is the first weekly award this season for the junior from Alamosa, Colo., and the third straight for the Bobcats.
Bussey helped MSU to a sweep of Sacramento State and Northern Colorado in the Big Sky Conference opening weekend. The Alamosa High School product put together back-to-back 20+ point games for the first time this season. For the weekend, Bussey averaged 22.5 points and shot 59 percent (16-27) from the field, 56 percent (5-9) from beyond the arc and 80 percent (8-10) from the line. In addition, she averaged 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game.
In the conference opener for Montana State, Bussey posted a game-high 25 points connecting on 10-15 from the field. She also matched a career-high five steals, while pulling down five rebounds and dishing out four assists. Against Northern Colorado, Bussey posted 20 points, including a three-of-five from long distance, five-of-six from the line, and dished out four assists.
