Golfers Finish 17th at Cowgirl Invite

Montana State golfers climbed up one spot after an improved second day and finished the Cowgirl Invite in 17th place.
The two-day meet, hosted by the University of Wyoming, was played at the Octillo Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona, site of the Big Sky Conference Championships April 19-21.

Melissa Hultstrand, a freshman from Gilbert, Arizona, led the Bobcats with a three-round score of 237 to tie for 53rd place. She scored an even-par third round score of 72. Kelly O'Brien followed with a 240.
Stephanie Kim of Northern Arizona won the meet with an even-par score of 216 after firing a four-under first round score of 68. Texas-El Paso won the meet with a score of 1 over-par. NAU tied with Colorado State for second. There were 23 teams in the tourney.
