Top Seeded Sacramento State Knocks off Montana State Netters

No. 1 seed Sacramento State ended the Montana State women’s tennis season with a 4-0 win over the Bobcats in the semifinals of the Big Sky Conference tournament, Saturday afternoon.

Ranked No. 51 in the nation, the Hornets opened the match winning at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles to garner the first point.
“Our kids fought hard and played one of their best matches of the season,” said MSU head coach Denise Albrecht. “The fact that we made the tournament is a testament to their work ethic and ability to scrap for every point.”
The Bobcats finished the season with an 8-11 overall mark and a 5-3 Big Sky Conference slate- its fourth straight winning campaign in league action.
