Golf in Fifth After Day One at BSC

Montana State freshman Molly Dorans saved her best golf for last. She is currently tied for fifth on the leaderboard after the first round of golf at the Big Sky Conference Championships.
Dorans, who scored a two-over par 74 is five strokes in back of the leader, Stephanie Kim of Northern Arizona. Dorans had led the Cats in four of their seven meets this season. Dorans is a freshman from Erie, Colorado.

“They all really played well and I am pleased,” head coach Leslie Spalding said. “They just want to get better and that is great.
Montana State's first round score of 21-over par 309 was good enough to put them ahead of Montana, Weber State, Eastern Washington and Idaho State. The tourney continues Tuesday and Wednesday with 18 holes each day.
