The Montana State women's basketball team will officially open its 2009-10 season this weekend when it travels to California for a pair of games. The Bobcats will open at Cal State Bakersfield on Friday, before traveling to Stockton to face Pacific on Sunday afternoon. MSU will look to best its 15-15 overall mark and 8-8 Big Sky Conference slate from last winter. The Bobcats return five letterwinners, including three starters (Perry, Strand, Bussey). CS Bakersfield is a NCAA Division I independent that posted a 19-10 mark last season. The Roadrunners do not become postseason eligible until 2010-11. Pacific went 14-16 last season and 8-8 in Big West action under 4th year head coach Lynne Roberts.
