Montana State golfers will travel to the Lamkin Grip Cal Poly Invitational on Sunday and Monday at the Cypress Ridge

San Jose State captured the team title a year ago, but will not return to defend its crown. A total of 16 teams are in the field.
Following a practice round Saturday, the approximately 90 golfers will play Round One on Sunday with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start. Final round is set for Monday with split tee times from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. An awards ceremony will follow the final round.
Xavier (Ohio) senior Mary Beth McKenna won the individual title last year with rounds of 69 and 74.
This year the course will be 6,022 yards with par 72.
In addition to Cal Poly and Xavier, other schools scheduled to compete
include Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Northridge, Sacramento State, UC-Riverside and Cal State Fullerton.
The rest of the field includes Idaho State, Utah Valley State, Northern Arizona, Weber State, Portland, Eastern Washington, British Columbia, Montana State and Southern Utah.
