Alex Neale helped spearhead a Bobcat offensive effort on Saturday that racked up over 500 total yards against Cal Poly on Saturday. Neale and the MSU offensive line created enough space for running back Isaiah Ifanse to accumulate a freshman record 227 yards rushing versus the Mustangs defense. The Bobcats averaged almost 9 yards per play on the offensive side of the ball. MSU's 430 yards on the ground were the fourth most in a single game in school history.
