2020-21 Season: Earned All-Big Sky accolades at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships … Finished second in the 100 hurdles (13.84) … Set a lifetime best converted mark of 13.82 seconds in the event which was the second fastest time in program history … Member of fourth-place 4x100 relay squad which recorded eighth fastest time of 46.49 seconds in MSU history … Also placed 10th overall in the long jump (18-05.75) at the Big Sky meet … Jumped to eighth in the long jump all-time top 10 with her leap of 18-10.75 (5.76m) at the Bengal Invitational in a first-place showing … Her best time in the 100 hurdles ranked 83rd in the West Region … Had four first-place individual showings over the course of the outdoor season ... Named to the Big Sky Winter and Spring All-Academic Teams ... Selected as a letterwinner by the coaching staff.
2019-20 Season
Indoor (Sophomore): Contributed to team score in two events at the Big Sky Conference Championships … Finished sixth in the 60 hurdles with a converted time of 8.75 seconds which tied for ninth in program history … Took eighth in the long jump with a leap of 17-10.75 (5.45m) after entering meet 24th on performance list … Also placed 19th in the 60 (7.87) … Moved into top 10 at ninth in 60 during season with personal-best time of 7.77 seconds at the Bobcat Preview on Dec. 6 … Took first in that race … Finished second in the 60 hurdles at the MSU Indoor Open (Feb. 7) … Also competed in the Don Kirby Elite Invitational in Albuquerque … Named to the Big Sky Winter and Spring All-Academic Teams … Selected as a letterwinner by the coaching staff.
2018-19 Season
Indoor (Freshman): Competed in four meets in opening collegiate season … Finished 14th in the 60 hurdles and 19th in the long jump at the Big Sky Conference Championships … Earned season bests in the 60 (8.00), 60 hurdles (8.97), 200 (27.14) and the long jump (17-06) … Best individual showing of season was a fourth-place finish in the long jump at the Big Sky Tuner (Feb. 15).
Outdoor (Freshman): Earned two personal bests at the Big Sky Championships to end season … Finished seventh in the 100 hurdle finals and 18th in the long jump competition … Time in 100 hurdles prelims of 14.18 seconds was 10th fastest in program history … Also recorded leap of 18-01 (5.51m) in the long jump … Had a first-place finish in the 100 hurdles at the Tom Gage Classic on May 3 … Had four other individual second-place showings … Competed in total of six meets ... Named to Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team.
High School: Graduated from Helena Capital High School in 2018 … Capped prep career with a fourth consecutive trip to the MHSA Class AA State track and field meet … Finished third in the 100 hurdles and second in the 4x100 relay … Earned her first MHSA State Meet Class AA title as a junior and saw success in a variety of events for Helena Capital High … Carter capped the 2017 season by taking first in the long jump at the state meet with a personal-best and school record mark of 18-08.25, just a month after trying the event out for the first time … Was a member of the Bruins' runner-up 4x100 relay team at the Class AA Championships that also set a school-record time of 49.15 … Competed in a total of four events at the meet, taking third in the 100 hurdles and ninth in the 100 dash … In a junior campaign that featured 10 event victories, Helena's Independent Record named her its 2017 Girls Track and Field Super Team Athlete of the Year … Advanced to the Class AA Championships in four events as a freshman, placing as high as eighth in the 100 hurdles … Won the event five times as a freshman and took second at the divisional meet … Earned a then career-best fourth-place finish in the 100 hurdles at the state meet as a sophomore … Won the divisional title the week prior in the event, while she also advanced to the MSHA meet in the 100 dash and as part of the Bruins' 4x100 relay squad.
