2020-21 Season: Claimed a conference title in the javelin at the 2021 Big Sky Outdoor Championships … Completed a throw of 221-04 (67.46m) on his second attempt at the meet … Earned a gold medal and moved to the fourth slot on MSU’s all-time top 10 list …. Became just the third Bobcat male athlete to win a javelin title in the previous 35 years … Advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary Round in College Station, Texas, with the 18th best mark in the region … Narrowly missed an NCAA Championship appearance as he placed 13th overall after completing a throw of 211-04 (64.42m) which was the second farthest of his career … Earned regular season first-place finishes in the javelin at the Hornet Invitational (March 20), Cat-Griz Dual (April 24) and the Tom Gage Classic (May 5).
2019-20 Season
Indoor (Sophomore): Did not compete in any meets
Background: Graduated from Fairfield High School in 2017 and was a three-sport standout for the Eagles ... Capped his prep career with a strong showing at the MHSA Class B State Meet ... Earned his third consecutive individual championship in the triple jump with a personal-best leap of 45 feet, 5.25 inches ... Completed lifetime bests to take second in both the javelin (185-05) and the long jump (21-10.25), while he also finished third in the discus (157-04) ... Was a member of the Eagles’ gold-medal winning 4x100 relay squad and helped guide Fairfield to the Class B team title ... Had over 30 first-place marks over the course of his senior year and was a four-time qualifier for the state meet.
