One of college basketball's most respected figures, Silvey Dominguez begins his second season at Montana State in 2018-19 and his first as an assistant coach. He joined Brian Fish's staff as Director of Basketball Operations, a position he held the previous campaign. Dominguez spent three seasons as an assistant coach on Ernie Kent's staff at Washington State (2014-17), and has coached at two other current Pac 12 schools (Utah in 2002-03 under Rick Majerus, when the Utes played in the Mountain West), and USC (1996-2001) and five different Mountain West schools - Air Force (2011-14. 1988-91), New Mexico as operations director (2007-08); Wyoming (2003-07); Colorado State (1986-88). A native of Grants, New Mexico and 1977 UNM graduate with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Spanish, Dominguez began his coaching career at Western New Mexico. He coached there from 1979-84, earning his MS in Business Administration in 1981, and coached at Southern Colorado from 1984-86.
