Indoor (Sophomore): Competed in six meets for the Bobcats … Finished 13th in the weight throw and 14th in the shot put at the Big Sky Conference Championships … Set lifetime bests in both events at the MSU Indoor Open on Feb. 7 … Took first in the weight throw with a mark of 55-04.75 (16.88m) and second in the shot put with a mark of 52-03.25 (15.93m) … Set lifetime bests in each event previously at the Stacy Dragila Invitational in Pocatello on Jan. 17 … Took third place in two events at the MSU Dual Meet Invitational (Jan. 24) … Named to the Big Sky Winter and Spring All-Academic Teams … Selected as a letterwinner by the coaching staff.
2018-19 Season
Indoor (Freshman): Competed in first Big Sky Championship meet … Took 18th in the weight throw and 20th in the shot put … Earned season bests during the year in the weight throw (50-04.75) and shot put (48-11) … Finished season 20th on the Big Sky performance list in the shot put … Appeared in seven meets … Placed first in the weight throw at the Bobcat Preview (Dec. 1) and took runner-up in the event at the Big Sky Tuner (Dec. 15) ... Named to Big Sky Winter All-Academic team.
Outdoor (Freshman): Participated in three events at the Big Sky Conference Championships … Took 13th in the shot put (50-07.50), 20th in the hammer throw (140-01) and 22nd in the discus (134-08) … Set lifetime bests in the hammer and discus at the Cat-Griz Dual on April 27 … Took third in the hammer with a mark of 152-01 (46.36m) and fourth in the discus with a throw of 141-05 (43.11m) … Completed top mark of season in shot put while placing sixth with a toss of 50-09.25 (15.47m) … Participated in seven meets ... Named to Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team.
High School: Graduated from Middleton High School in 2018 … A five-time letterwinner in football and track and field, along with a four-time participant at the IHSAA 4A State Track and Field Championships ... Made four podium appearances during prep career for the Vikings at the state meet … Earned lifetime bests in the shot put (57-08) and discus (156-04) to take second and third, respectively, as a senior … Finished runner-up in the shot put (55-02) and fourth in the discus (155-04) behind personal-best marks as a junior … Placed first in a combined 18 events over the course of the 2017 and 2018 seasons … Made his first appearance at state as a freshman … It was the first of two ninth-place finishes he earned in the discus at the 4A State meet, while he also placed fourth in the shot put as a sophomore.
