2020-21 Season: Competed in five meets during the outdoor season … Ended year running in the 100, 200 and 4x100 relay at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships … Ran a personal-best time of 10.92 seconds in the 100 at the meet … Had two second-place finishes in events at the Tom Gage Classic (May 5) … Member of the 10th fastest 4x100 relay (41.40) in program history set at Cat-Griz Dual (April 24) ... Named to the Big Sky Spring and Winter All-Academic Teams.
2019-20 Season
Indoor (Freshman): Competed in six meets for the Bobcats … Participated in the Big Sky Championships taking 16th in the 60 (6.99) and 21st in the 200 behind a personal best (22.31) … Had his top time in the 60 of 6.93 at the MSU Indoor open on Feb. 7 … Four top-three showings over the course of the season … Earned a 12th-place finish in the 60 at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico ... Named to the Big Sky's 2020 Spring All-Academic Team.
Background: Multiple sport standout that graduated from Sweet Grass County High School in 2019 … Became a two-time state champion in three events at the 2019 MHSA Class B Track and Field Championships … Earned repeat gold medals as a senior in the 100, 200 and 300 hurdles … Time of 38.11 seconds in the 300 hurdles and time of 10.87 seconds in the 100 were both Class B records … Also set a lifetime best of 21.80 in the 200 … Placed third at the 2019 Class B meet in the 400 behind a personal-best time of 49.65 seconds … Made first Class B meet appearances as a sophomore … Competed in four events and finished an individual-high second in the 100 … Earned over 70 first-place showings in events over a three-year span for the Sheepherders … Was an all-state performer on both sides of the ball in football … Four-time letterwinner in football and track … Also lettered three times in basketball … Mother Paula (1992-96) and grandfather Skip (1970-72) still have marks that are on the Montana State track and field all-time top 10 list … Plans to major in business.
