2012: Indoor- Did not compete. Outdoor- Qualified for the NCAA West Region Preliminary in the Hammer Throw and placed 13th, missing the NCAA Championships by one place ... competed in the shot put, hammer throw and discus at the Big Sky Championships ... he came in third in the discus and the shot put and was the conference runner-up in the hammer throw ... best throw in the hammer measured 62.52m, which was a lifetime best and came at the Utah Spring Classic ... season best 16.56m also came at the Utah Spring Classic ... amassed seven individual wins over the course of outdoor season ... Academic All-Big Sky selection ... ranks fourth all-time in Bobcat history in the hammer throw ... named the team's Top Gun Award winner.
2011: Indoor- Won both the shot put and the weight throw at Big Sky Championships … never finished lower than fourth all season in any of his events … amassed nine first place finishes … season best distance of 16.46m in the shot put came at the Bobcat Open … hurled to a distance of 20.10m in the weight throw at the UW Last Chance Qualifier. Outdoor- Advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary in the hammer throw after winning the event at the Big Sky Championships with a distance of 62.51m … also competed in the discus and shot put at the conference meet where he finished fifth and 11th, respectively … Academic All-Big Sky selection … Named team’s Outstanding Field Athlete
2010: Indoor- Finished sixth in the Weight Throw at Big Sky Championships … best distance in the weight throw was 17.77 … best throw in the shot put was 15.70.
2009: Indoor- Competed at the Big Sky Indoor Championships in the shot put and the weight throw … best distance in the shot put was 14.95 … best distance in the weight throw was 16.61m. Outdoor- Placed second in the Hammer Throw at Big Sky Championship with a season’s best distance of 56.42 … also competed in the discus … season best in the discus was a hurl of 47.08.
Prior to MSU: A 2008 graduate of Powell County High School … earned four letters in track and field, three in football and two in basketball … three-time All-State selection in football … state champion in the discus and shot put as a senior.
