MSU Men's Tennis Team Falls at Denver

Cats fight in close singles matches
(Jan. 25, 2026) – A pair of Bobcats played deep into the third set in singles play, but Mountain Region power Denver earned a 7-0 men's tennis victory over Montana State on Sunday.
Ethan Masselis served for the match up 5-4 in set three at No. 6 singles, but Aaron Beduhn won three straight games to claim the set and take a 2-1 win. At the second ladder position, Oumar Diallo fought back from a 6-1 first set loss to extend the match with a 6-4 win in the second set. Raffaello Papajcik took the third set 6-4 for the 2-1 win.
The Pioneers earned straight-set win in the other singles matches. Samuel Rovai topped Andre Stewart 7-6 (5), 6-4 at the top ladder spot, Theo Coats beat Yassin Ellaroussy 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3, Connor Robb-Wilcox earned a 6-3, 6-4 win over Camille Chantron at No. 4, and Ryoma Mishiro beat David Ismanescu 6-1, 6-4 at No. 5.
Denver opened the match by winning the singles point. DU topped the Cats at No. 1 and No. 3, with the second ladder spot going unfinished.
