MSU Guard Taylee Chirrick Reels In Weekly Big Sky Honor

Bobcat sophomore now owns four league awards this season
BOZEMAN, Mont. (Jan. 13, 2026) – Sophomore guard Tayee Chirrick scored 42 points with 15 rebounds and six steals in two Bobcat wins last weekend, earning Big Sky Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors, the league announced.
Chirrick led the Bobcats to home wins against Idaho, the final remaining unbeaten team in Big Sky play other than MSU, and Eastern Washington. She led the Cats in scoring twice, pouring in 24 against Eastern Washington and 23 against Idaho to give her seven 20-point games this season and three in a row.
The Roberts, Mont., product grabbed 15 rebounds (seven against UI, eight against the Eagles) with 10 steals, nine assists and a blocked shot. Chirrick shot 17-for-28 from the floor, 7-for-11 from the arc, on the weekend.
The award is Chirrick's second in a row and her fourth this season. She also won weekly honors back-to-back on Nov. 25 and Dec. 2.
