BOZEMAN, Mont. -- Three Montana State men's basketball student-athletes earned CSC Academic All-District honors, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Sam Lecholat, Brian Goracke, and Jed Miller each were picked, with Montana State's three honorees representing the most in the Big Sky Conference.
Lecholat, a senior from Sheridan, Wyoming, earns his first career Academic All-District honor ahead of graduating with a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology holding a 3.52 GPA. This season, the forward tied for seventh in the Big Sky in blocked shots per game (0.7), appearing in 32 games with 15 starts while averaging 4.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Lecholat finished his final season in the Blue and Gold shooting 42.1% from the field and 76.1% from the free throw line. "Sheridan Sam" appeared in 134 games over four seasons with Montana State, contributing to three straight Big Sky Tournament championships and three straight NCAA Tournament appearances—both firsts in program history and the Big Sky's first three-peat champion since Weber State in the late 1970s.
Goracke, a senior from Monroe, Oregon, earns his second straight Academic All-District honor ahead of graduating with a bachelor of science degree in business holding a 3.58 GPA. This season, Goracke appeared in 31 games with one start, averaging 5.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per outing, shooting 34.6% from beyond the arc and 85.2% from the free throw line. The Monroe native earned 2024 Big Sky All-Tournament Team accolades after helping power the Bobcats to their third straight conference tournament title, and was 2025 Big Sky Preseason All-Conference.
Miller, a junior from Agoura Hills, California, earns his first career Academic All-District honor. The business major holds a 3.78 GPA. This season, Miller appeared in all 33 games off the bench, averaging 3.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 40.2% from the floor and 91.4% from the free throw line. Miller scored a career-high 20 points in a road win over Weber State on Jan. 18, connecting on all 12 of his free throw attempts to tie former teammate RaeQuan Battle for the single-game program record. Miller also scored 11 points with six rebounds and four assists in the Cats' 80-60 win over fourth-seeded Idaho State at the Big Sky Tournament, assuring Montana State a spot in the tournament semifinals.
