Montana State head coach Tricia Binford wants her team to get back to its defensive principles when its host Northwest Nazarene in exhibition action, Monday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. in Worthington Arena.
"Ball pressure," said Binford, referring to the lack of its presence during the annual Blue-Gold scrimmage, last week. "I'd like to see it a whole lot more consistent on Monday night."
MSU plays two exhibition games this week, leading up to its season-opener against Carrolle College on Nov. 4. The Bobcats face Bushnell on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Northwest Nazarene enters Thursday night's contest after going 16-12 overall and 10-8 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference action, last winter.
The Nighthawks top player is a familiar face to Binford. Kendall Clark, who was a First Team All-GNAC standout and the GNAC Freshman of the Year two seasons ago, is Binford's niece. Clark finished last season averaging 15.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
"Kendall is having an unbelievable career there," Binford said. "She's going to be a tough stop, so we're going to have to make sure collectively we do a great job keeping the ball out of her hands."
MSU returns seven letterwinners, including Taylee Chirrick the Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Year, along with six newcomers for the 2025-26 campaign.
