
Cats Close First Two Rounds at Wyoming Cowgirl Classic

Bobcats are 16th through 36 holes at Ak-Shin Southern Dunes Golf Club heading into Thursday
GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- The Montana State golf team battled through 36 holes on a long day of competition at Ak-Shin Southern Dunes Golf Club on Wednesday, closing out two rounds at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic.
The Bobcats enter the final round on Thursday morning in a tie with Hawaii for 16th.

Hannah Boraas led the way for the Cats with a 36-hole score of 149, shooting 75-74 to sit in a tie for 38th through the first two rounds.
Lauren Greeny started off the day with a two-over par 74 in the opening round before rounding out the day with a 77 to sit in a tie for 51st.
Maddie Montoya is tied for 57th individually after a second round score of 74 in the afternoon.
Montana State shot 307 as a team in the first round and 302 in the second round, knotted with Hawaii in a tie for 16th through 36 holes at 33-over par 609.
Sacramento State leads the field by nine strokes at seven-under par 569. Long Beach State (+2) is second, while Boise State (+7) is third.
"We battled back the second round," head coach Brittany Basye said. "Tomorrow, we need to keep battling, drop some more putts, and get rid of the doubles."
