BOZEMAN, Montana – Rodeo fans across Montana and throughout the U.S. have the opportunity to watch the annual MSU Spring Rodeo April 11-14.
Scripps Sports broadcasts the four public performances live from Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on MTN stations throughout the state. MTN is available to viewers in most Montana markets, with availability found at mtnmontana.com/findus. The event is also available on the CowGirl Channel (Dish Network channel 269). and over the air on KBZK 7.5 in Bozeman, KTVQ 2.5 in Billings, KXLF 4.5 in Butte, KRTV 3.5 in Great Falls, KXLH 9.5 in Helena and KPAX 8.5 in Missoula. The performances and slack on Friday and Saturday morning are also available on the Cowboy Channel app.
The MTN broadcast is in partnership with Montana PBS, which co-produced Cat-Griz men's and women's basketball games in 2024. The broadcast team features long-time KTVQ sportscaster Scott Breen calling the action, Bobcat Hall of Famer and professional rodeo star Dan Mortensen as analyst, and Tom Wylie of KRTV in Great Falls, who reports from the chutes.
The MSU Spring Rodeo consists of two separate events, and comprise the first two rodeos of the Big Sky Region spring season. Montana State, MSU Northern, UM Western, Miles Community College, Dawson Community College, Northwest College and UM form the Big Sky Region. The broadcast schedule includes all public performances – Thursday's 7 pm performance, Friday's Short Go at 7 pm, Saturday's 7 pm performance, and Championship Sunday's 1 pm Short Go.
