Bobcat juniors post strong second-round efforts
CASPER, Wyo. (June 16, 2026) – Familiarity provided a friendly feeling for Faith Marshall on Tuesday, as Montana State's senior posted a solid mark in the second go-round of goat tying at the 2026 College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyoming.
"I feel a lot more comfortable here now that I've been here a couple of times," Marshall said after her 6.5 run in the second round of goat tying. The junior finished 13th in the go. "I didn't really know what this goat was going to do, so I just got off really early and tried to be smart."
Marshall also finished 48th in the second round of barrel racing, leading a strong effort by the MSU women. "I'm pretty happy with the women," said MSU head coach Kyle Whitaker. "They're off to a strong start."
Junior Wyatt Jensen posted the team's best Tuesday finish, grabbing seventh place with a 10.2 in the second go-round of tie down roping. He stands 27th on the average after two rounds. Freshman Tahj Wells scored a 66.0 to stand seventh in the third go of saddle bronc.
