Bobcat Men's Rodeo Team Sweeps Weekend at Miles CC

Cole Gerhardt captured men's all-around honors
Montana State's men's rodeo team stormed to a fourth straight spring rodeo win and the women nearly did the same as the Bobcats took three of the four team titles at Miles Community College this weekend.
The Bobcats scored 1,260 points on the men's side, while UM Western's women edged the Bobcats 290-280 points in MCC's second rodeo, which concluded Sunday. Wes Shaw won the tie-down roping while Wyatt Jensen finished second and Bode Spring fifth. Jaden Whitman won steer wrestling, while teammates Trav Johnson finished second, Cole Gerhardt fourth, Logan Beattie fifth and Wes Shaw sixth.
In the women's competition, Clare Burcalow won the goat tying. MSU's Jessica Stevens finished third and Jenae Whitaker sixth. Tayla Moeykens continued to dominate the barrel racing, with Ryen Shanahan finishing second, Shantell Brewer fifth and Macardi Anderson sixth.
The Bobcats travel to Hamilton next weekend for the University of Montana's rodeo which closes the Big Sky Region season.
