Dykstra, Limardo Garner Big Sky Conference Kudos

“Marah is just scratching the surface of what she’s capable of achieving,” said MSU head coach Tricia Binford.
Montana State sophomore forward Marah Dykstra was named to the all-Big Sky Conference Second Team, while senior Katelynn Limardo was selected to the first ever all-Big Sky Defensive team the league office announced on Thursday afternoon.
Dykstra, a 6-2 product of Vancouver, B.C., currently leads the Bobcats in scoring averaging 11.3 points per game, while shooting 42.7% from the field and 75.8% from the free throw line. This season, she has been in double figures scoring on 17 occasions, including a career-high 21 points as the Bobcats upset Eastern Washington on Feb. 1 in Cheney.
Defensively, Dykstra is second on the team averaging 5.7 rebounds per game. She has also chipped in a team-best 26 blocks and 78 assists. Dykstra has also contributed 22 steals and nine three-pointers. She recorded her first double double with 12 points and 14 rebounds in MSU's win over Sacramento State.
Dykstra has played and started in 29 games this winter, averaging 30.2 minutes per contest.

She impacts the game with her scoring, rebounding, and playmaking abilities and she's a very consistent, steady, and poised player. As a sophomore, the team looks for her leadership and she's the type of kid that makes those around her better."
Limardo was one of six conference players named to the first all-Big Sky Defensive team. The senior from Silver City, N.M. leads the Bobcats averaging 6.5 rebounds per game. She is also second on the squad with 46 steals. This winter, Limardo has recorded five games with double-digit rebounds, including 12 boards in Montana State's win at North Dakota on Nov. 19.
"Katelynn is a disrupter on defense," Binford said. "It's great to see her get recognized for her tremendous defensive gifts. KJ gets her hands on everything, she deflects, she blocks, and her motor is endless all 94-feet. I just love the way she competes."
The Bobcats face Northern Colorado, Monday, March 11 at 12 p.m. in Big Sky Conference Tournament action.
